For Everyone Who Eats
Fresh from the Farm to Every Table
A peer-led revolution in local food security. We bridge the Farm Fresh Connection - helping farmers make more, eaters pay less, and communities stay nourished and connected.
Fresh Food, Straight From Local Farms
Farm Fresh Connection makes it easy for families to access real, local food. You can browse nearby farms, see what’s fresh today, and connect directly with the people who grow your food.
- Discover local farms near you
- See what’s in season
- Support small farmers in your community
How It Works
It can be as simple as choosing what’s already available — or as connected as growing together.
- Browse local farms and their fresh offerings
- Choose what you want
- Pick up your order or get it delivered (depending on the farm)
Simple, transparent, and built to strengthen your connection to real food.
Community‑driven demand that guides what local farms choose to grow
Farm Fresh Connection makes it easy for community members and chefs to share what they want to buy fresh from nearby farms. These requests help farmers see real demand in real time, giving them the confidence to grow what their community truly needs.
Request What You Want
Anyone can post a request — seasonal produce, herbs, specialty crops, ingredients for a menu, or something they hope a local homestead might grow. These requests become visible to all nearby farms and homesteads.
Farmers Reach Out
directly to the person who posted them. They can talk through timing, quantities, varieties, and growing conditions, building a relationship long before harvest.
Grow Together
As the crop grows, farmers and community members can communicate back and forth, sharing updates, questions, and plans. Chefs can collaborate with farms in the same way, shaping menus around what’s in season and what’s coming next.
Harvest and Notify
When the crop is ready, the farmer can notify the requester — and the wider community — so everyone knows it’s available for purchase. This creates a living, two‑way connection between growers and eaters, strengthening the local food ecosystem and helping small farms thrive.
Recipes and Real‑Life Inspiration
Farm Fresh Connection will include a space where community members, farmers, and chefs can share their favorite recipes using farm‑fresh ingredients. These recipes help people discover new ways to use what’s in season and bring the community closer through shared meals. Requests can even include the dish someone hopes to make — giving farmers a deeper sense of how their harvests will be used and inspiring others to try something new.
Why I created Farm Fresh Connection
I’m Cathy, and I built Farm Fresh Connection because I believe the bond between small farms and their communities has been intentionally severed — and it’s time to rebuild it. Small farms do far more than grow food; they teach, nourish, and anchor the places we live. I want to create a simple way for people to reconnect with farmers and homesteads around them, support their work, and grow alongside them.
My own homestead, Farm to Family Homestead, is the first listing on the app. I’m looking forward to the day when neighbors can find what we offer, connect with us directly, help shape future harvests through their requests, and learn how to live off-grid. That’s the kind of community connection I want to bring back.
When restaurant closures during COVID caused farm sales to collapse, I really understood the broken connection between farmers and community. I began working on a way for homesteads and small farms to stay connected to their communities — and to build more resilient, diverse income streams.
In a world that feels increasingly uncertain — from pandemics to global conflicts — strong local communities matter more than ever. Food is at the heart of that strength. When neighbors know their farmers, when homesteads can share what they grow, and when communities support the people who feed them, everyone becomes more resilient. Farm Fresh Connection helps rebuild those relationships so we can all stand on steadier ground.
Small farms are the heart of healthy communities. Farm Fresh Connection helps families access better food while helping farmers thrive.
- Keeps your food dollars local
- Reduces waste and long‑distance shipping
- Builds stronger, more resilient communities
More Than Food - Helping Homesteads Thrive
Farm Fresh Connection isn’t just about fresh produce — it’s about supporting the full life of a homestead. Many small farms survive by offering more than food, and this app makes those opportunities visible to the community.
Homesteads can share far more than crops. They can offer hands‑on experiences, seasonal events, and land‑based learning opportunities that strengthen community connection and diversify income. From farm tours and foraging walks to herbal workshops, animal care classes, and off-grid homestead coaching, Farm Fresh Connection helps people discover the skills, wisdom, and experiences that small farms and homesteads uniquely provide.
Whether someone wants to learn how to start a garden, bake sourdough, raise chickens, identify wild plants, or simply spend a day on the land, the app makes it easy to find and connect with local homesteads offering these opportunities. See the app for details
Farm to Family Homestead: Featured in Word of Mouth Magazine
“Through creativity, hard work, and flexibility, Cathy and Bill have created a homestead that produces its own food and power — and they share their hard‑won wisdom with anyone who asks.” — Word of Mouth Magazine Read the full article: Farm to Family Homestead
Founder’s Note: When restaurant closures during COVID caused farm sales to collapse, we realized how fragile the connection between farms and communities had become. That experience pushed us to build something stronger — a way for homesteads to diversify their income through experiences, handcrafted goods, and direct relationships with the people they feed.
